I am aware of the work with cartilage and some research into skins and muscles, but what fields are next or current besides those? Human organs are complex, some more than others, and may be too complex with the current level of technology. What other medicinal fields are seeing an expanded use of Bio-printing?
That's a good question! Bioprinting research is far more wide spread than it seems right now.
I've Heard about some Amazing research regarding cancer tumors and 3D-bio Printing. Apparently some researches are using the 3D bioprinters to actually print tumors, and then test drugs on them. I definitley Think that "personalized medicine" is the future of 3D bio Printing!
